Diplômé en 2006, du Département de Céramiques et Porcelaines de l’Université des Arts Appliqués de Prague. Il est actuellement Professeur assistant de Maxime Velcovsky au sein du Département Céramiques & Porcelaines de l’Université des Arts Appliqués de Prague. En 2014, il est nominé comme Designer de l’année pour une collection de vases.
Au cours de ces quatre dernières années, Milan Pekař s‘est concentré sur le développement de procédés d’émaillage et consacré à l’expérimentation de nouvelles combinaisons de couleurs. Cette recherche l’a conduit à découvrir des émaux inhabituels, en particulier les très rares émaux cristallins métalliques.
Les émaux cristallins se développent différemment selon les formes et les dimensions des vases et les oxydes réagissent en fonction des composants selon un processus complexe et délicat. Et, si la technique des glaçures cristallines n‘est pas nouvelle, ce qui fait la particularité du travail de Milan Pekař c’est qu‘il a développé de multiples combinaisons de couleurs et conçu des formes de vases adaptées à ces combinaisons. Ainsi chaque vase est absolument unique.
